There Is a Light that Never Goes Out: The Ednovate Class of 2017

--

“Every single student has a light that is bright within them.”

This is part of a series of videos on the 2017 graduating class of Ednovate Charter Schools, in Los Angeles.

For the second year in a row, Ednovate sent 100% of its graduating class to four-year colleges and universities. Many students like Fredy Pedro Baltazar, originally from Guatemala and a current freshman at the University of California at Irvine, are first-generation college students. Ednovate’s theory of change is that these students will graduate and return to their communities to serve as leaders and role models for the next generation. In the words of CEO Oliver Sicat, Ednovate helps students discover the light within themselves. Someday soon, they’ll return the favor.

Fredy is aglow.
